Our Mission Statement

Welcome to The Moderator: A new non-partisan student organization dedicated to creating moderators of polarized dialogue at USC. Our goal is to allow members to become comfortable with discomfort through asking questions about our differing experiences. We do so through 3 rounds of topics:

1. Ice Breakers 

   • ex.: Is a hot dog a sandwich?​

2. Community Based Issues

   • Was the renaming of the Von Kleinsmid Center justified?

3. National/International or Philosophical Topics

   • Would defunding the police be a good thing? ​
